“ I've been coming to this spot for YEARS with my family on our road trips to ATX. Amazing kolaches. The service was fast, employees were so sweet especially our cashier! It's in a gas station so the ambiance isn't supposed to be fancy. I ordered the bacon, egg, & cheese kolache and a strawberry kolache. They were both amazing and tasted fresh. Make sure to order them warm! ”
“ this is an obligatory road trip pit stop whenever driving from austin to dallas. quick restroom stop and can get the best kolaches!! seriously, i've had kolaches from different places all around texas and the ones at czech stop/little czech are the best. i like the 'czech stop hots with cheese' except they're not called that anymore. they're just sausage with jalepeno and cheese now. i'm not big on sweets, but any of the fruit + cream cheese options are really good. i like the strawberry and cream cheese. #fattypatty approved ”
“ Learned from my recent experience why people take out rather than eat their kolaches right there and then like I first did. Eating a breakfast kolache (i.e., with meat and cheese) inside will net you a microwaved, deflated kolache. But take it home and re-warm it yourself and you've got something pretty outstanding. Microwaved at Little Czech, the bread comes out like soggy Wonder Kids bread. Pulled from your home oven, the bread is golden and crisp just the way the Lord intended bread to be. Obviously this isn't necessary for the cold, fruity kolaches. Packed with a puck of cream cheese - you really can't go wrong. ”
“ We first learned of the legendary kolaches in West, TX from a cousin when we were in Texas four years ago and they were very good! We stopped in again while en-route to Austin from Dallas. The line is always long but it moves quickly. If you know what you want, you can fill out a post-it note and hand it in at the counter so that when you make it to the register, your order is boxed up and ready to go. Sweet and savory options but only one vegetarian savory option that I saw. But I gobbled up my raspberry and cream cheese and blueberry and cream cheese kolaches for dessert while hubby enjoyed his pulled pork puff which was warm and delicious. If for some reason, you don't want kolaches (or want more goodies to go), there is a large assortment of other packaged baked goods you can buy plus lots of Texas souvenirs. When we were here four years ago, they were open 24 hours a day but due to labor shortages, they are now only open from 5am-10pm. ”
“ If you find yourself driving between Ft Worth and Waco, you need to give this place a try. Don't be fooled by the fact it is inside of a convenience store. They had a wide range of sweet and savory items as well as some nice looking sandwiches. I had the sausage with Swiss and sauerkraut and a very berry with cream cheese...need a little Sweet and a little savory. Had them get both and would recommend that. Also had a large Diet Coke and the whole thing was less than $6.50. The line moved quick and the staff was helpful. On to the food, both items had excellent dough, had proo and cooked nicely, were very fresh and delivered deep flavor that you would expect. I found the two together to be a nice early lunch and a solid meal. Excellent experience all the way around. ”
“ Have loved Little Czech Bakery since they opened in the early/mid 80's. Amazing amazing amazing! Been to all the bakeries in West (my family is from here). Little Czech and Village Bakeries are the best, by far. If it weren't for my aunt being manager for so many years at Little Czech Bakery, I would probably go back and forth between the two bakeries! She also worked at Village prior to helping open Little Czech! ”
